Traditional Rose Tattoo as a Cover Up

traditional rose tattooThis traditional rose tattoo was really fun, but seemed like it could be a nightmare.  The customer made an appointment to get a 20 year old blob of a tattoo on her shoulder covered up.  She wanted the name Andy over it and a seemingly random assortment of other letters in a constellation round it.  She might have wanted a rose too.  While I am sure the letters had deep meaning for her, I ignored the request.  She also can’t speak English, and my German is not so good.

On the day of the appointment, I was prepared to argue that this is a better design and I even had my colleague/translator ready.  However, she took one quick look and thought it was great!  She never even mentioned the lack of the other letters.

Sometimes it is my job to save people from themselves.
